Beckenham House

We were delighted to once again work alongside architects Fraher and Findlay, to help realise their vision for the Beckenham House, a beautifully colourful family home in south London where we created the kitchen.

For the palette, we used Farrow and Ball 's Caulke Green, Alhambra tropical print tiles, Carrara marble and Buster + Punch brass handles woven together to create a unique aesthetic and overall ambience to the space.

In the main run of the kitchen, we worked around the range oven, and focused heavily on the functionality of the space and cabinetry. The kitchen includes a Fisher & Paykel American door fridge with drawer freezer below, plus an extra cool drawer, a custom drinks/appliance cabinet with storage for the microwave, and a slimline wine rack tucked into the remaining space on the right. The two ‘panels’ beneath are also functional – they hide small cupboards for storage of trays and other kitchenware.

The design was inspired by the vaulted ceiling, intending to take one half of the owners back to their childhood home in New England, so the styling hoped to bring a bit of the states into this Edwardian SE London home.
