The main structure of the exhibition is made from Birch Ply torsion boxes, which provide a suitable base to affix the outer panels and tiles to. This approach allowed for millimeter precision, which was critical given the layout of the stand was dictated by the size of the floor and wall tiles; any discrepancies would be immediately visible and detract from the simplicity and geometric forms of the tiles. They also enabled the whole structure to be disassembled, palletised, and sent on for reuse, minimising the wastage of material that is common at large exhibitions.
Recessed LED lighting illuminates the tiles on the display shelf, and elsewhere floor to ceiling mirrors accentuate the geometric patterns created by the tiles.
