The Lambeth Marsh House
Shape undertook the technical design, fabrication and installation of all joinery throughout the Lambeth Marsh House, including the kitchen, bedroom & bathroom furniture, concealed storage and panelling. We were sensitive to the property’s character and heritage whilst creating a contemporary sanctuary in the heart of the city, suited to modern day living.
- Architect: Fraher and Findlay
- Photographer: Jack Hobhouse

The stand-out features in the kitchen are the recessed Oak handle details and shark-nose Carrara Quartz worktop with mitred doors and drawer fronts, creating a slim, 10mm, contemporary edge detail.

We retained a neutral material palette throughout the property’s bathroom, and allowed the quality of the materials and high standard of finishes to take center stage; using white-washed Oak in the bathroom, and sprayed panels in the utility.

The bedroom furniture was designed to be disguised as panelled walls. Each cabinet was defined by the panel modulation and thus blends seamlessly from wall to cabinet. The Oak internals offer a good contrast with the light sprayed doors.
